Kano Pillars football club technical adviser Ibrahim Musa “Jugunu” has attributed the team’s failure in the CAF Champions League to poor skills and lack of experience demonstrated by the players.
KANO TODAY reports that Kano Pillars lost 0-2 to Asante Kosoko in the return leg of the preliminary round at Baban Yara Stadium, Kumasi, Ghana.
Kano Pillars had won a narrow 3-2 victory in the first leg on August 10 at Sani Abacha Stadium, Kofar Mata, Kano.
The Technical adviser lamented the poor skills exhibited by the players during the post-match conference.
“Our players are not reliable. If you teach a player one thing he is supposed to come up with three, but when you teach our players ten technics they fail to demonstrate even one.” Mr Musa said.
The team Media Office, Idris Malikawa Garu apologized to the fans and people of Kano state on behalf of the team.
“The situation is disheartening but that is the will of almighty Allah for us so we accept it in good faith.” He said.
