Some sacked employees of Sahad stores Kano have sued their former employer Alhaji Ibrahim Mijinyawa alleging wrongful dismissal.
KANO TODAY reports that the 74 former employees were sacked in July, 2019 for allegedly embezzling ₦250 Million in the Zoo Road and Mandawari branches of Sahad Stores in Kano state.
Counsel to the sacked Sahad staff, Abba Hikima filed the suit before the Kano office of the national industrial Court of Nigeria.
Mr. Hikima told reporters that the sacked employees are seeking to be re-instated, be paid their outstanding salaries, and a compensation of ₦250 million.
He added that both Sahad Stores Limited and the proprietor Ibrahim Mijinyawa have been joined in the suit.
