Kano state command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested a truck loaded with 103 kilograms of Indian hemp being transported from Zaria to Kano.
Ibrahim Abdul, commander of the NDLEA in Kano disclosed this to KANO TODAY while parading suspected drug dealers on Monday.
Mr Abdul said the arrested driver had distributed some of the Indian hemp at Zaria before driving towards Kano.
He added that the command has arrested more than 50 people in Kano in possession of 720 grams of various illicit drugs.
All the suspected dealers will be arraigned before a court, he said.
The commander also called on the Kano state government to help complete the rehabilitation center being built at the NDLEA office to help drug users.
