Ganduje appoints Kannywood actor as member Pilgrims Board

Kano state governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has appointed Kannywood actor, Nura Hussain as member of the state Pilgrims’ Welfare Board.

Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Abba Anwar announced Mr Hussain as one of the 10 members of the board under the chairmanship of Sheikh Abdullahi Pakistan.

The board is in charge of organizing the annual Hajj pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia for Kano state indigenes.

Nura Hussain, a veteran Kannywood actor is also an Islamic scholar popular known as ‘Ya Sayyadi’.

KANO TODAY recalls that he is one of the leading Kannywood actors who supported the reelection of Governor Abdullahi Ganduje during the 2019 election.

Nura Hussain is also an active politician and had once contested for councillorship in Yakasai Ward of Kano Municipal local government.
