Shopkeepers near Dangi roundabout in Kano metropolis are appealing to the state government to relocate them to another place.
Mr. Musa Ibrahim, chairman of the Dangi shopkeepers’ association told journalists that their shops have been marked for demolition due to the ongoing underpass construction along Zoo road.
“Although the land belonged to the management of Umar Bin Khaddab mosque, they had allocated it to us and we developed it while collecting rent from us,” he said.
“Most of us are married with many dependants. How can we survive if the only source of our livelihood is demolished?” he asked.
