Dala local government council has demolished illegal shops recently built at Kofar Ruwa market, Kano.
Vice chairman of the council, Ishaq Tanko Gambaga led other council members in demolishing the shops on Friday.
KANO TODAY recalls that traders at the Kofar Ruwa market have objected this week against the overnight building of new shops in front of their stalls.
Ishaq Gambaga announced the immediate revocation of all such plots allocated by the administration of former chairman Ibrahim Sulaiman Dan Isile.
He directed all affected individuals to report to the local government secretariat with genuine copies of their allocation letter and other relevant documents for verification.
The acting chairman also announced the temporary suspension of all revenue collection in the market.
He therefore assured the traders of good governance by his administration.
