Kano State House of Assembly has appealed to the executive branch of the government to convert Marhaba Cinema into a GSM phone market.
KANO TODAY reports that the move is to reduce the congestion of Farm center market in Tarauni local government area.
The House adopted a motion by Mr Abubakar Zakari Muhammad (Tarauni, APC) on Tuesday.
Mr Muhammad, who is the chairman works committee said converting the cinema into a market will boost the economy of Kano state and reduce unemployment among youths.
He explained that the congestion in the GSM market at Farm Center is hampering trading activities and is a danger to public safety.
Mr Muhammad added that he moved the motion after receiving a request from some traders in the Farm Center market.
