The emir of Kano Muhammadu Sanusi II has enjoined Christians to celebrate Christmas in peace and harmony for the socio-economic development of the country.
Sanusi II made the remarks while receiving the resident community leaders of Igbo Yoruba, Delta, and Igala communities led by the Igbo leader in Kano Boniface Ibekwe at his palace.
The emir has acknowledged the contribution of resident communities in terms of economic peace and unity in the state and urge them to continue in maintaining the tempo.
The leader of delegation Boniface Ibekwe said they were at the palace to thank the emir on his immense contribution towards the economic development and peaceful coexistence in the state.
