Two persons have lost their lives while many others have sustained injuries when two cars collided at Kura town, along Kano – Zaria expressway on Wednesday.
KANO TODAY reports that one of the cars was travelling out of Kano while the other car was coming from Zaria.
The Vehicles Inspection Officer in charge of Kura local government area, Aliyu Aminu confirmed the crash.
Mr Aminu said the injured passengers are receiving treatment at the Kura General Hospital while the corpses of the deceased have been taken to the mortuary.
An eyewitness told KANO TODAY that there was another crash few kilometres away from the area earlier in the day.
He attributed the incidences to on-going reconstruction of the road awarded to Julius Berger which led to close of one of the dual carriage ways.
The spokespersons of the Kano state command of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Kabiru Daura and the Nigeria Police Force, Abdullahi Haruna also confirmed the incidence.
