Motorists plying the BUK road in Kano metropolis have been thrown into difficulty as one lane of the Gadon Kaya Underpass cracked on Sunday.
KANO TODAY reports that the lane leading from Kofar Gadon Kaya to Kofar Famfo has been closed after the bridge becomes unmotorable following a heavy downpour.
The Gadon Kaya Underpass named after late Kogi state governor Prince Audu Abubakar was executed by the Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso administration at a cost of N700 million awarded to Rocard Construction Limited.
Investigations by KANO TODAY reveal that the upper part of the bridge is cracked, contorted, and it seems about to collapse.
The heavy downpour on Sunday night flooded a lot of roads in Kano metropolis including the Panshekara Underpass built by the Ganduje administration.
