About 224,134 primary school pupils wrote transitional examination otherwise known as common entrance in Kano state.

KANO TODAY reports that the state government cancelled the monthly sanitation curfew on Saturday to enable the pupils sit for the exams.

The Permanent Secretary Kano State Ministry of Education, Lauratu Ado Diso told reporters that the pupils will benefit from the free education program of the government.

She said that the government is working to enhance the quality of education in Kano state through training and retraining of teachers.

Mrs Diso urged parents and guardians to ensure that their children attend school punctually.

She added that Kano state government has mapped out strategies of ensuring that its educational blueprint is achieved.
